Meghan’s Know-it-all Rock Project

You need:

Small pictures cut from magazines or stickers (If you use stickers, it is better if they are stuck to a piece of paper and then cut out.)
A paintbrush
Felt
Clear fingernail polish
A smooth rock
White glue

  1. Scrub the dirt off your rock.
  2. When your rock is dry, use the paintbrush to spread glue on it. Cover everything EXCEPT the bottom of the rock. (Otherwise you might glue it to the table!)
  3. Press your pictures or stickers into the glue. Try to cover all the parts of the rock you can see, but don’t worry about the bottom. Smooth out bumps with your fingers. If needed, apply more glue.
  4. Let your rock completely dry.
  5. Except the bottom, coat your rock with a thin layer of fingernail polish. Let it dry again.
  6. Finally, cut a piece of felt to fit the bottom of the rock and glue it on. The felt will keep the rock from scratching furniture. And TADA! Rock art.
